Title: Little CMS color support?

ACDSee offers the user a choice between Little CMS and Microsoft ICM as the color engine of choice.  This question was raised on the ACDSee User's forum as to why one would be more desirable over the other, there were two issues.  One issue was that some people claimed that Microsoft ICM created dotted lines in photographs under some conditions, while others disputed that claim.  The other issue, admittedly raised by just one person but who did offer some evidence, is a claim that Little CMS does better in the deepest shadow areas.

My questions are, do other software titles support Little CMS, and do other people use it or have used it?  Also of those users, have you found any performance differences between the two?

Unless one finds a bug in a CMM, the differences should be tiny if none at all. If you convert two images in Photoshop using both, subtract them, you can see for yourself if there's any difference. Here are the steps:

Good test is a roundtrip sRGB-Lab-sRGB. From that one can calculate bit error. From my test in 2007 with old LCMS it was marginally better then Microsoft CMM.
