Title: Best portable projector for photography classes?
Post by: Yvan Bedard on July 10, 2013, 07:33:36 pm
Hi,

I'm looking for a portable projector for my photography classes. I used a Dell in the past but the colors were not very good. It was OK for Powerpoint presentations, but not for photos.

When I wanted color fidelity, I brought 2 large external displays in the classroom.

Any suggestion ? In theory, only the high-end Canon projectors have excellent color rendition... but they are so expensive !

Maybe it is only my way of setting the parameters of my Dell projector... I tried various combinations of parameters but the result wasn't that good. I also tried Spyder Pro calibration, no better result.

Thanks

Whatever you do, stay away from DLP technology. You want LCD for best quality color output.
