Title: Newtown Creek, NYC, and Deptford Creek, London
Post by: markadams99 on July 09, 2013, 08:03:06 pm
The North Brooklyn Boat Club (http://northbrooklynboatclub.org/events/) runs public canoe tours down Newtown Creek and on to the East River. I paddled along with my Fuji x20 to get some sea-level views of Manhattan east-side, the Queensboro Bridge, Roosevelt Island, Long Island City and Astoria (http://thelightcavalry.zenfolio.com/eastrivercanoe5pointz):

That reminded me of a low-tide walk (http://www.creeksidecentre.org.uk/events/low-tide-walks/) I did a few years ago in Deptford Creek London which was pretty photogenic (http://thelightcavalry.zenfolio.com/p75893460):
