My humidity hovers around 50% right now and I rarely have head cleanings, except for the yellow channel. I usually print a nozzle check before a print job, and every time, the yellow channel needs cleaning. In the last month, none of the other channels indicated a cleaning was needed. Is there something 'different' with the yellow? I remember reading somewhere that it's the weakest of the colours - but doubt that has anything to do with it.
Is this something I should be concerned about that I should get looked at while it's still under warranty?

I would have it looked at. My 9900 did the same thing but with orange. Epson replaced the damper. And it has worked fine since. Yellow gets a lot more use than orangery least on my printer. Since you are under warranty I would make the call to Epson.

Under warranty--call Epson. They may want to send you a new yellow cart to test before sending out a tech.

Thanks guys.. I'll call on Tuesday when I'm back in the studio.

Yes, they're always more than welcome to send out a new cartridge...
I have the exact opposite. I don't think I've ever seen a problem in the yellow channel test pattern!
