Title: M - Adaptors for Fuji X Pro1 / XE-1
Post by: brianrybolt on July 03, 2013, 10:58:11 am
Just purchased a used Leica lens which I want to use with my XE-1.  I'm considering the Metabones or Fuji's adaptor.  Fuji's is quite expensive and doesn't seem to have any greater technical value than the highly rated Metabones.  My new lens has no electrical contacts (tele elmarit) so I wouldn't use those functions the Fuji adaptor has to offer.  For me Metabones seems a better choice.  Anyone out there have any thought or experience about this?

Cheers,   Brian

I just bought an X-E1 with the Fuji M adaptor. My intent is to use the camera solely as an RF lens platform. AFAIK the contacts on the adaptor only tell the camera that there's something mounted on it. You can do this via a menu setting too... I imagine the Metabones version should work just as well.
