Title: Photography Exhibits in Philadelphia ?
Post by: HSakols on July 02, 2013, 10:15:12 am
I'm in Philadelphia for a week and wanted to know if there are any photography exhibits worth seeing.  Of course we will go to the Philadelphia Art Museum and if we can get in the Barns Collection.

We were in Philadelphia June 21-23 and certainly enjoyed our visit to the Philadelphia Art Museum.  Be forewarned that admission to the Barnes Foundation requires the purchase of tickets in advance. http://www.barnesfoundation.org/visit/book-tickets  We did not have tickets so could not gain admission although a man in the ticket booth said that he could get us in for $45 each...sounded a bit shady so we declined!

If you go to the Barnes, be sure to get a guided tour. The museum, wonderful as it is, will be overwhelming otherwise. And, if you can, get to Morimoto (the restaurant) and have the tasting menu. Out of this world!

Thanks for the suggestions.  I'll check out the Barns tomorrow.  I'm also enjoying the historic architecture.
