Watched her for hours today.
I'd hate to be her adversary.

Well,
isn't it clear now how corrupt the GOP is?
Disgusting and diminishing.
Relegating women to second class citizens,
and poor women to little more than wage slaves and baby factories for private incarceration liquidity.
Sick
Take the ability to vote on abortion issues away from anyone with a penis.
You people have proven what you are.
-
And she succeeded, even with the various attempted dirty tricks.
-
I hope she she can get some R&R and recharge her batteries, because it ain't over yet.

An interesting analysis of the events, one that is both sad and IMHO, true:

Relegating women to second class citizens
founding fathers meant only for white, christian males... not for some females or whatever.

hey I don't know,
I'm a more or less idiot I suppose,
but,
just for a moment put yourself in the shoes of the staunch anti-choice crowd.
Flat out believe in the God of their Fathers to quote Jack London.
Just as many religious zealots, the pro SB5 citizenry has its moral ground staked.
To the point of firebombing the office of the fine Senator from Fort Worth

but listen buddies,
there is simply no stopping this woman,
or the more than half the rest of the population of the US
When the war on women becomes the norm for the party of the 1%
the party of the !% will finally go where they deserve,
The history of an extreme culture war to save the remnants of an already defunct reality.
Done,
over,
I thought Mr. Fisher would've chmed in by now,
or fer chrissakes where the hekin hey are you Rob?
danged woman right there is an inspiration.

This is something I found shocking. What I find more shocking is that I've not heard of any formal investigation & talk of criminal prosecution for electoral fraud or similar

If we were talking about any other state, this would be shocking. But we're talking about Texas, where the good ol' boys are not above stacking the deck to ensure a winning hand.

“It is a poverty to decide that a child must die so that you may live as you wish.”
-Mother Theresa of Calcutta
Anyone who thinks that an embryo or fetus is a "child" needs to have their thinker fixed. And, Mother Theresa was in reality a pretty vile person who denied pain meds and care to the terminally ill because she thought their suffering was a good thing.

In all Charity. Please provide facts to both of your statements.

fair enough, you want examples
of just catholic misdeeds historically, or presently?
Since we're talking the bible apparently,
did you know historically the catholics use their first converts to secure as many more as possible,
and the majority have been women,
usually disenfranchised poor women,
that when they start to want a voice,
the crackdown from above can sure be interpreted as gods will.
I prfer to think of it as people that have way too much power,
instituting unreasonable standards we all must adhere to,
or as in the case of Perry using Davis as a punching bag,
using slut shame.
Teenage mother indeed...

Advice to any woman, man, or child in the US
Leave Texas to Texans.
Just like we in California have decided where to head politically,
the engine to the rest of you cars,
and now Texas can have whatever it wants.
Count on me and anybody I can persuade to never touch foot in texas.
Yall can keep the place.
I always thought they ought to offer the same square miles to Israel in texas as Israel now occupies.
Let them have it.
Give it to every zionist on earth and let them slug it out with the border jumpers and worse,
the mysogonistic cultural heroes there.
Rick Perry vs Netanyahu in a 2 round bare knuckle event.
Hosted by Bush on his ranch,

So, ROCCO PENNY....the facts are that black and hispanic women are many times more likely to abort than white women. You'd think the old bigoted white men who run everything would find a way to be pro-abortion, huh ROCCO PENNY? Why would the evil GOP and right-wing religious pricks be trying to stop the murder of unborn mostly black and brown babies who are likely to grow up and vote liberal, ROCCO PENNY? No, a fetus is not a child, but it's ALIVE, and abortion kills it, for the sake of convenience. No excuse for something so barbaric in the 21st century.
Oh, and another thing: Why would GW BUSH, the biggest homophobic conservative asshole EVER, be the single person who has done the most to stop AIDS in Africa? Riddle me that one.......................................... 8)
-
you're right,
OK
you're right
black and browns, and africans with aids should applaud you and yours
let me guess,
you're a white male?

A woman has the right to control her own body, and that includes the fate of the fetus she carries. It's not the state's business or anyone else's what she does with her body, and that includes whether or not to carry her pregnancy to term. It's not the state's pregnancy and it's sure as hell not the Republican party's pregnancy. It's her pregnancy. A fetus's rights begin at birth, when it becomes something we call a "baby", and not before. Of course, the right wingers hate that with every fiber of their being. They'd much rather be able to use the power of the state to deny a woman the ability to make decisions about her own body. Because there's nothing more threatening to them than women who have the power to choose.

Do you support abortion at 21 weeks? 39 weeks? 40 weeks? During active labor?
If you do, you're in a sick, murderous, fortunately tiny minority. If not, please explain your reasoning.
-
If not, please explain your reasoning.
My reasoning would be that the decision is that of the woman caring the fetus. Not the state, not anyone else.
-
There is a simple fact at play.
Women have the vote.
As they recognize that the gop and tp
are trying to set back women's rights,
the backlash will be substantial.
The future is here friends,
this isn't some pipe dream,
the GOP just got substantially smaller with that jackass dewhearst and perry leading the bugle call for women.
Who'da thunk it would be the gop scripting its own demise?
Makes me happy as a Californian watching everyone eat their words about how the new liberalism is bad for business and economics.
Look up the numbers friends,
you have everything to worry about if you are one of the last gasps of that dying power structure,
and good riddance

You just stepped over the line. And I don't need to explain jack to the likes of you. If you can't read English, that's your problem.

Enough! Take this discussion elsewhere please.

We're done here. Move along.
