Title: Sebastiao Salgado in Toronto
Post by: Trevor Murgatroyd on June 24, 2013, 01:06:06 pm
For anyone in or near Toronto, the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) is currently hosting an exhibition of Salgado's "Genesis" collection. It is absolutely wonderful, and so large (on two floors) that it is hard to take in on one visit. Highly recommended.

The ROM also has a video on its web site wherein Salgado describes his journey into photography, his eventual burnout, and his recovery, leading to the Genesis project. A very passionate and interesting man.

Thank you for sharing this. Salgado is one of my very favorite photographers. My copy of Genesis should arrive any day now.

He was featured in this year's Contact festival as well.  Thanks for the heads up on the exhibit.
