Photographer defends Nigella Lawson pictures.

The dude looked on for 27 minutes and didn't intervene.

Many PJs will tell you it's not their job to intervene, to change the course of news, to alter events.

The photos are disturbing. Clear abuse by a bullying husband. I think the claim that the photographer would have faced arrest if he'd intervened, is specious at best. But if he was really that worried, he could have phoned the police & reported it straightaway

Interviews don't always happen in police stations. The initial interview is made on the scene… an image of her husband being interviewed by bobbies would be a powerful anti-domestic violence statement.

Have you read any of the coverage? The police didn't attend at the scene. He went on his own to the station a day or two later, was interviewed and cautioned.
All that said, if she's kicked him to the curb and is looking for a shoulder to cry on.... ;D

You missed the point, the photographer could have called the police, not just watched for 27 minutes. He would have gotten two sets of shots, the abuse and the consequences. Like I said a missed opportunity.

Yes, but it's the nature of the job, and millions want him to do it. The figures seem to favour the corazón magazines over the 'real' news ones.
Someone has to sweep the streets.
