Finally, Dwayne, a deer photo! The second photo is also interesting, more graphic. I'm with muntanela on the third one, for me, it's nothing special.

Thank you very much for the comments on this set. I checked his past work out, stunning and amazing ! He
had a great eye for the natural world and was surely one of the great photography masters of his time. He had
great publishing success also. My art hero is Robert Bateman the wildlife painter.

Yep my pet deer is back lol not really, this one was checking to see if the coast was clear before crossing the path, a great moment for sure.
I never tire seeing deer in the woods, they are a beautiful and graceful animal. The third image is two bass on patrol in a pond. I would like to
get more fresh water fish in my work, above water shots.

I saw the two guys but I'm sure you can improve on that theme…

It's nice to see your "pet deer" back in a classic Dwayne Oakes pose, but I agree with the others that the second is the real winner in this set.
With these recent sets I get the sense that you feel really comfortable with the Coolpix. Just for curiosity, is that the same camera you were using for your older pix back a while?

Thank you ! Yea I think a polarizer filter is due for the this type of fish work.

Thank you very much Eric ! Yea the Coolpix is completely dialed in now and I have a lot of confidence and faith in the new camera and that it will do anything I ask of it and
I reached most of my goals in my work with this camera of doing less pp shooting using jpeg, more details in my work (no Orton) and more lower POV shots like the creek shots etc.
It is also keeping my field skills sharp with exposures that have to be bang on with this camera.
The older camera was a Nikon D7000/Nikkor 55-200mmVR and was more of a RAW set up and was a great camera for that approach.

I hate spiders, but it is a great shot and one to keep in the "Best of Oakes" Series.

Love the set especially the deer! Unlike my wife I don't mind spiders!
