Title: New Fuji X-Pro1 and X-E1 firmware is out today
Post by: Stephen Scharf on May 23, 2013, 10:39:17 am
Michael and other Fuji owners...

Fujifilm released version 2.04 of the X-Pro1 and 1.05 of the X-E1 firmware today. This provides improved AF support for the new 55-200 mm lens.

Note:  I just installed firmware version 2.04 in my XP1 today and I observe a noticeable improvement in autofocus speed. The biggest improvement is with the 35mm/1.4; the lens now no longer racks through it's full focus travel range every time when locking focus, and when focusing on objects that are at different positions but at approximately the same range of distance from the camera, focus lock is noticeably faster than before. The 18-55, which was always faster than the 35 mm prime because it has a faster AF motor than than the 35 mm prime, is now also quicker to lock as well.
