Title: Money Back Guarantee - How?
Post by: billhercus on May 20, 2013, 02:47:13 pm
I have recently purchased theCamera to Print to Screen (CPTS) series of video tutorials and have been very disappointed with the output.

Prior to this I have bought the LR4 Tutorials and they were very good.  However, the CPTS is out of date (see section on Soft Proofing for example) and too much of the material is not particularly useful for an enthusiastic amatuer who does not have an infinite budget.  Much of the equipment used for demo was high end and the user of such equipment would have more of a clue, I would have thought.

However, my main point is the 'Money Back Guarantee' which convinced me - a hesitant buyer - to go ahead and purchase.

Now tell me, how on earth does one do this?  I cannot find any procedure or contact detail on the site for doing this.

Anyone actually done this?  Can anyone help or is this just a marketing ploy?  I do hope not because the Site is excellent - otherwise!!

I would have tried Home Page (http://www.luminous-landscape.com/index.shtml) -> Contact (http://www.luminous-landscape.com/about/contact.shtml) Link (left hand menu, at the bottom) -> Customer Service (http://customerservice@luminous-landscape.com) email link (in large, bold, underlined letters) before a public posting.

It's very simple. You write to us and say, "I want my money back".

Then we give you a refund.

Much easier than bitching and posturing on a public forum.

Gentlemen, I do apologise for offending you and mis using the forum.  I had looked around the site for some time, and to be fair to me, the contact location is less prominent than on most sites.

However, I should have found it.

Mea culpa, mea maxima culpa.

Apology accepted.

For reference, there is a CONTACT button on the left side green coloured navigation bar on every page on the site.

Also, the email that you received confirming your purchase has a direct contact address for our customer support service.

Regards,

Michael

You make a fair point, for which I have apologised.

However, the description for this Forum subject says, "A forum for open discussion of both photographic and non-photographic topics of a general nature" and thus the earlier comments about not 'pestering the forum' is not in the spirit which I would welcome a genuine (if mis informed) question.

I am a great admirer of your work which I follow.  However, CSP Tutorial Videos should be updated, I'm sure you will agree.

I don't agree...exactly what is out of date? There's nothing out of date with the soft proofing sections for Photoshop or Lightroom other than the version numbers-the features & how you use them have not changed even considering LR5 is out in beta and I'm using Photoshop CC and that's not changed.

Really, in terms of camera to print and screen, the changes in the industry and the equipment we're using (except for Mike's habit of falling in love with the newest camera he's shooting with) have been incremental and do not rise to the level of needing to reshoot the video. Mike and I just shot the update for LR5 and to be honest, very little has changed over LR4. So we concentrated on what's new and didn't redo the entire thing.

You may have noticed a trend in the industry...the revolution is over...the rate of change has slowed to be merely evolutionary.
