Title: Bronica SQAi 6x6 Anyone digitized...?
Post by: SeptimusFry on May 14, 2013, 01:48:55 pm
My lovely SQAi became obsolete within just a few years of buying it, and, being amateur, it had very little use. But looking the other day at some big prints, I wondered if anyone had actually put a digital back on one and how happy they feel with it.

Some time ago, I researched the field and found a back and an adaptor, but felt I could buy another Canon 5DmkIII instead; of course, I bought nothing as I couldn't really afford it, so kept right on with my 5dMkII.

I suppose feedback from Hass. conversions would be interesting as well.

There aren't a lot of people who use their backs on bronica, two existing solutions came/come from:

I think the back needs to be in a V-Mount (classic Hasselblad). An Aptus22 or Phase One P25 can be found around 2500 € or less. Your may find the necessary adaptor in the For Sale Forums /Ebay. It appears to be an expensive piece of metal, but used price should be pretty low.
