Winter is is finally over here in Ontario, hopefully I will have time to do some more shooting.

Love the maple in the first one. The second one, not so much.

I agree with Mike. The first shows a wonderful, open tree and conveys spring. The second is a trunk.

I like them both. The second one is a type of subject I am often drawn to (the "feet" of trees), but the first one is truly outstanding.

I was on the fence with the trunk as well. Somehow the intense green of the moss attracted me but I do agree it's not really a strong image. Thanks for confirming my hunch.

I love the way the first tree is highlighted by contracting with the lighter trees in the background. Different and very effective.

The first photo is wonderful and evocative. The second one could have been as good - maybe - but I would have tried to take it with a wider angle lens and at a shorter distance to emphasize the "feet".
Anyway, well done!

I find the light in the first one more compelling, nicely done.
