Title: Ferruginous Hawk

Sounds very "botanical", but this raptor is actually quite similar to the red-tailed hawk.

Camera: Nikon D5100
Lens: Nikkor 70-300mm VR G,
Shutter Speed: 1/320s
Aperture: 5.3
ISO: 400

One of my favourite raptors. Captured not exactly in the wild woods, but the bird looks almost like a wild one. Very cooperative, and approachable even with a medium telephoto lens.
Getting ready for another raptor shooting opportunity, this time including also young owlets and eaglets.
