Terrific, Rajan. I bet the winter one is even richer than it seems, knowing that there is a subtle hint of the mountains there in the background. My only constructive criticism is that I'd like to see more breathing room in the fall shot between the bend in the waterline on the left and the edge of the frame. I don't know if the angle or the height of the tide made a difference between the two shots, but it would be a little bit stronger shot if it was less cramped there.
Great job capturing two very different moods from one location.

Both good Rajan, but I love the first one. Appears to be monochrome until ones eyes are irresistably drawn ... to that red house!

Nice.
#1: I think I like the black cobble almost as much as the house, it's a strong textured contrasting leading line.
The contrast between the foreground snow and the distant mountains seems unsettling. I would expect them to be a little brighter. But I wasn't there... ;)

Ron, I plead guilty to making a compositional boo-boo on that second one. Yes, the mountains of the eastern side of Eyjafjörður are faintly seen. There was an advancing snowstorm at the time.
Matt, I have other compositions where the house is pulled in closer.

I agree about being closer. A different composition is needed imo. The idea is good but needs to be "improved".

For me, I don't think the fall shot wouldn't have caught my eye in any configuration. The first shot though, just grabs and holds my attention through every detail. Very, very nicely composed and exposed.
