Canon 1dx, 24mm f1.4. Shot in March during trip with Daniel Bergman, Josh Holko and Andy Biggs.
Aurora over the Lagoon.

It's another superb Aurora photo. I especially like the reflections on the icy waters of Jökulsárlón.
Well done!

Ditto. In addition, the swirls of the aurora are echoed in the curves of the land. Great shot!

that's a beaut

I like the reflections in the ice also.
One part of the aurora is pretty bright, if the channels are not blown, pulling the higlights down a touch would improve this further. My eye is drawn to the bright part of the aurora.

Thanks all !.
I think the biggest challenge shooting the Aurora was having a suitable foreground to make it really work. I have a lot shot over this lagoon, but this is my favorite with the 'path' leading through the ice up to it.
I agree with the comment on the bright spot, and I have toned it down in the printed version, and it does look much better. Will post the final processing when I get home again.
Printing it was a bit of a challenge, a good chunk of that green straight out of camera, is naturally out of Gammut, although the Epson 9900 did a decent Job.
Some slight tweaks down on the saturation slider for the specific shade and it was fine. I had to crank the contrast up quite a bit to bring the sky back to black as well. (I.e. so it printed how it actually looked). Some shots when the moon was up from later in the trip made this MUCH harder, as the sky is quite washed out after the long exposure.
Regards
Mark.
