Title: In Close
Post by: churly on April 14, 2013, 07:26:01 pm
I've had these around for some time but spring seems to need some help getting going in my parts so I thought to put these up with the hope of moving things along.

Thanks for having a look. Chuck

Both very fine, but #2 really grabs me.

Eric and David - Thanks for the kind words on these.   I was wondering if the very thin dof on these would be of interest.  I am generally more of a f64 type but have been wanting to play with this a bit more.

Chuck,

I'm normally an f/64 type of guy myself, but here the soft focus is totally convincing.

The last one is outstanding. The pursuit of almost infinite DOF sometimes makes us forget that soft focus is also very pleasant.

Very cool.  #2 for me by a long shot.

I love shooting macro wide open with my 180mm f/3.5 lens. TINY DOF.  You can highlight the feature of interest more easily in a usually cluttered background. #2 is the one.
