Unfortunately this is the new trend for doggies, paws in pantyhose (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2305101/Paws-pantyhose-Disturbing-new-craze-dressing-dogs-STOCKINGS-sweeps-Internet.html).

Cheers,

Oh no snother bad trend "going viral".

Ive been infprmed that the "coat" of hair  on the dog in my photograph is natural for its breed. although I dont know the name of that [articular breed

it appears that there is a breed in which that sort of "coat" is the norm and not an affectation as I had assumed.

on looking for info  on that sort of "coat" i encountered what has to be an even more seemingly exaggerated version of same

the title of his photo also assumed that tjhe dog had had its hair braided. oddly enough.

Looks like a Komondor, a herding dog whose coat naturally grows in cords.

Komondor.  Thank you. A friend who Id described the dog to had mentioned the existance of such a breed but hadnt offered a name.
