Title: Local Adjustments for HDR sliders (highlights)
Post by: alosurdo on April 10, 2013, 06:23:40 pm
Hi, im reasonably new to capture, just wondering if you can make local adjustments to highlights in capture only. eg a scene with a few lights where you want to paint down simply just the highliugh (a exposure adjustment one work)

At the moment im simply creating two variations of the raw file (correct with out adjustment for lights and then another simply with recovery the highlights), im then loading them as layers in PS and then creating a luminosity mask for the highlighted areas and just having the correct areas come through, which works reasonably.

My first guess is a local adjustment for highlights cant be made on C1

Cheers

Andrew

Correct. Most, but not all tools are available when working locally.

It's possible this could be added in the future. It would clearly be useful in many situations.
