Title: Panasonic GX1 vs Olympus EPL5
Post by: HSakols on April 10, 2013, 09:19:38 am
I'm ready to try out my first micro 4/3 camera, especially since the prices have fallen. I'm torn between the Panasonic GX1 and the Olympus EPL5.  I've read that the Panasonic might have more logical controls while the EPL5 has the same sensor as the OMD. I don't really care about slight size differences.  I'm really torn.  Fast AF would be a plus. I'm not going to be shooting a ISO 3200 or making large prints.

Probably the biggest difference is that the EPL5 has IBIS, whereas the GX1 relies on the lenses for stabilization. If you want to shoot some of the longer m4/3 Olympus lenses, like the 75mm, or longer adapted glass, that may be a factor for you.
