Title: Epson R2400 : darker band on the right side
Post by: PhR on March 26, 2013, 10:35:54 am
Hi,

My Epson R2400 has been working for for 4 years without any troubleshot but now I have a problem: when there are light green or light blue areas on the right side of the picture, I get a darker band that is 3-5 mm large just on the right border. This is clearly visible when I print targets for creating papers profiles. It looks like the printer puts another - darker - ink instead or in addition to the necessary ones at the beggining of the print pass. Another possibility is that it got that dark ink that is on the pads on the left side ?

I did several head cleanings and heads alignments and I cleaned the pads as much I could but the problem is still there. I need to turn the pictures in Photoshop in order to avoid having blue of green areas just on the right side but this is sometimes impossible.

My printer has refillable cartridges and runs with Cone Color K3 inks.

Thanks for any advice on this.
