Title: Arca LULF?
Post by: Mr. Rib on March 24, 2013, 04:54:16 pm
Ok, can anyone shed some light on the Arca LULF camera announced at Photokina? Or is there no info at all despite the photo I've seen cirulating the web? From the photo I've seen I'd say the front standard is connected to an Arca Monoball, that would mean no gear movements on front standard.. is that the case? Well, if anyone has seen the camera at Photokina or knows anything, please share.

Yes, those are modified P1 heads which make excellent function carriers due to light weight and weight capacity.
There are some things being reworked after getting feedback at Photokina.  Hope to have more information soon.
There were no gear movements on the camera shown at Photokina, excepting focus, of course.
Not sure of what design changes are being made at this point but hope for more news soon.
Hope this helps a bit.

It actually does Rod, thanks.
Since I missed Photokina and didn't have an occassion to talk to Arca guys- is there any "ULF" camera with geared movements in the making?

I am not aware of any plans for geared movement, but will check.
More soon.
