Title: Problem Creating Lens Reference Files in Sinar Capture Shop 6.1
Post by: Dennis Carbo on March 23, 2013, 10:19:31 am
Hello All,

I am working with Sinar Capture Shop 6.1, and cannot create lens reference files..I follow the instructions to the letter and the 54m back beeps but the "create" window fails to close. I can create Sensor and Scene profiles without a problem. The local dealer was able to create profiles in his studio with my rig so I assume it is me ? !

Equipment list:

Sinar P3
Sinar 54M
28/2.8, 90/5.6, 120/5.6 Lenses with CMV shutter
LC Shutter for Live view (Disconnected while trying to make profiles)

Computers I have tried this on:

2008 Macbook Core2duo running OSX 10.7.5 and Capture shop 6.1
2003 G5 Dual 2.0 running OSX 10.4.1 and Capture Shop 5.6.4
2001 G4 Powerbook running OSX 10.4.1 and Capture Shop 5.6.3

They all run the Back and Shoot fine (older ones are slow but functional) - I just cant create lens profiles...any thoughts ?

Regards,

Dennis

OK....problem solved....

When creating Lens/sensor/scene reference files you cannot use any special characters when naming them (come on really !!)

Not listed anywhere in documentation.  I was trying to name a profile 28/5.6 for instance....the slash and period were the problem...I had to name it 28mm56

Just an FYI if anyone else has a problem.
