Another interesting shot - sand dunes and snow-covered mountains in the same shot!
Treatment is excellent as a B&W too!

I like those high dunes and the snow is really the icing on the cake!

Great three-dimenisonality in this photograph - it seems like one of your best!

I'm moving to Colorado! There must be more areas of spectacular landscapes within a days drive of Colorado Springs than anywhere else – certainly more than we have here in southern Ontario! Don't get me wrong, I love it here in Ontario. In fact I have show coming up in April of Niagara Escarpment photographs and of course we have the Great Lakes and the Canadian Shield, but - WOW - such landscapes with some verticality just aren't common here.

I'm headed out west in about three weeks...out to southern Cal then up to Paradise, CA, back down and around to Reno, Salt Lake CIty, down to Moab then Grand Junction, Santa Fe, OK City and back home. Got to test out my new motorhome.

Thanks very much my friends for your complements!
Tony/Francois..The picture was taken during the kids' fall break. That's why you can see snow.
Chris...I hope you will enjoy your new motorhome and the trip. I will be in Grand Canyon, Monument, Lake Powell in a week and 2 weeks in the Big Island in June. I can't wait!
Luxborealis...I've never been in South Ontario but from what I've heard, it's not bad at all!
Thanks Eric, Julian and Thierry.
Best,
Pramote

It is a fine shot, probably spectacular as a high rez print. A minor quibble is that at this particular resolution the anti-aliasing (stair-step edge smoothing) makes it look a bit rendered as in CGI. Clearly that is not the case it is a great photo. The fine natural detail just looks a bit rounded to me. Maybe it is just me.
