Don't remember that coffee shop but it WAS about 2000 when we were there. (http://emoticons4u.com/sad/1361.gif)
Two nice memories. Our hotel room was upgraded to a suite and we were there to see the Canadian Independence day fireworks. Sat on some big rocks on a beach with some hot/alcoholic refreshment. We were both pleased to get off the ferry in Seattle and get a second dose of fireworks for July 4th!(http://emoticons4u.com/happy/042.gif)

I assume it is dark on Vancouver Island, however...

It looks like a bit of a random grab shot to me, but even so I like it. I like the animated conversation taking place at the back of the Cafe between the two ladies and the day dreaming stare of the man in the window. Yes plenty to look at and plenty of interest and stories going on. I also like the B/W conversion, very pleasing, stylish and old-school.

If this was a random grab shot Andrew, then I think you should take more.

Not sure if I prefer Brian's lighter version to your orginal darker version, I think I would choose about halfway between the two, sort of not so light in the highlights and not so dark in the shadows.

Thanks, guys.

It was a random grab, but a studied one ;) I was out trying to shoot street, looking for those indefinable moments, so it's all grabs. Then you sort afterwards and see how you did. This is, I think, the best of that particular lot. It has things in it that I like, at any rate.
