Title: Red Rock Canyon SP
Post by: rgs on February 21, 2013, 03:27:42 pm
Red Rock Canyon State Park in Oklahoma is an interesting place. It's a heavily wooded small box canyon with red sandstone walls. In the summer it's green and lush, in the spring it glows with tons of redbud trees, and in the fall it has lots of fall color. But in the winter, the canyon walls show all of the interesting shapes of years of wind, rain, and people climbing over them.

The park is about 30 minutes west of Oklahoma City just of I 40. If you're ever passing through, it's definitely worth a stop.

Here are two from last weekend's short afternoon trip. Enjoy! Comments welcome. I just love to show off Oklahoma.
