Veiðivötn - Iceland

Lovely stuff Josh..

Great image! Kind of a dark title relative to sun and greenness. That's a road I'd gladly travel.
-
Nice!
Looks cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey though.

For Iceland that looks like a major highway. For a true "road to oblivion" try one of the "tracks" in the interior, such as the one that goes to Mount Hekla.
Of course those don't make good photos, since they are virtually invisible, except to the trained, native eye.
Nice image, though, Josh.

The haze over the hills completes the picture. Very nice, Josh. I look at it and the feeling of flying over strange territory comes back to me.

All it needs is a new Lexus on the road and this could be a car ad.
In case you were wondering, that was a compliment. :D :D :D

Yet another image that makes me envious!

Thank you Gents.
Tony - it was certainly a tad chilly! ;D

The first time I looked at the image, I thought it was a bit "crunchy," perhaps due to jpeg compression, perhaps to too much contrast. It wasn't until I came back today I realized the crunch was ice crystalization. After donning my down parka, I perused it in far greater detail.
It is indeed, a very fine image.

With you, every picture you post - to me me anyway, it is more about, "damn, could I afford to buy that one!"
