Just came across this - hadn't even heard of the 'magazine' before. Very nice work from Chuck, and also a good overall layout from the magazine people.

I particularly like the opening shot of the cloud and slash of white below.

Last night my wife and I watched the film "Fargo," which is filmed in North Dakota and Minnesota. All through, the outdoor scenes kept reminding me of Chuck Kimmerle's photos (even though the film was in color).  Spare, delicate landscapes, endless straight roads with regular rows of telephone poles along one side, with a thin layer of snow over everything.

Some scenes in the film came closer than anything else I've seen to the spirit of Chuck's landscapes. Stunning!
