A few days ago I decided that I was going to let you know that I thought your critiques/comments were a welcome addition to this forum. They seem to me to be well-considered, insightful and knowledgable. Having witnessed the battering you took on the "Love Real Street" thread (and the way you handled it), I thought you might appreciate a little support. My concern was that, perhaps, you might not be "stout of heart" and decide to move on.
Judging by the number of your posts and submissions since then, I see I need have no fear of that! Well done for taking it so well!
I am a big fan of some of the guys you tangled with, so this is not a matter of taking sides. I hope to see more lively discussions here. I learn a lot from them.

That's extremely considerate of you William. And, the kind words are appreciated very much about the critiques. I do a lot of critique, I enjoy it immensely, and I think it is useful to every artist no matter their experience. I spend a great deal of time with other artists showing and critiquing photography. And therefore you can be absolutely certain that I have indeed, a very "stout heart," and zero artistic fear. Thank you.

I will second William's comments and have already been the beneficiary of some of your critiqes--keep 'em coming!
As for Beach Sand, I can see something very playful here. The colorful towels seemed out of place until I looked closer and noticed the male and female bathing suits; it was kind of a ;) ;) moment. On the other hand, I found myself wanting to rise up and see what was over the dune with that fabulous piece of driftwood pointing the way and up into the terrific overcast. Without the towels, maybe a little more exposure? Ah, perhaps a hint of HDR :D Hope that's not offensive. A cool image.

Not offensive at all. Never worry about that. I'm an armadillo. As for HDR, that's a much longer discussion! Thanks for the comments.
