I am in no way affiliated with this book other than I just purchased it and am about half way through and I am very impressed.
I have found it to be very informative, educational, and entertaining. It covers the theory of color and how we perceive it. It is 'interactive' in that it uses roll overs, successfully, to demonstrate concepts.
You may view a preview of the book at

If you purchase before Feb. 7, it half off or 6.25pounds (about $10.00). Use the discount code 'premiere'.

Thanks for the heads up. This book is like "Everything I always wanted to know about color, but was afraid to ask".

And leave it to England to come up with androgynous names as Gry. Why did I think she was a guy? Guy/Gry? ::)
Is there any way of getting a real book from this author? I'm not to thrilled having to download Adobe Reader X to take advantage of an ebook's full features.

It doesn't require Reader X...any version of Acrobat will display the rollovers and videos (which is a good reason why a printed book would be sub-optimal).

She is Norwegian. If she were English, color would be colour.

Thanks leuallen
Very nice find - Gry certainly explains the color relationships very clearly, and the price can't be beat - at least until tomorrow!

I was surprised that she did not list Ernst Haas, Pete Turner, Jay Maisel, Arthur Meyerson, Stephen Wilkes, Gregory Heisler or Stephen Shore as example of great colorists. Perhaps they are not her cup of tea or there were licensing issues? Anyway it is a fine primer on color theory.
