Hello folks.
If you happen to be travelling down the East Coast of the South Island of New Zealand in early February, it's my real pleasure to invite you to my exhibition “South of the Drake Passage”, part of the oamaruscott100 (http://www.oamaruscott100.org.nz/) week.
As the attached image says, I had a sudden rush of blood to the head and took two antique cameras, as well as my 5DII, to the Antarctic a year ago, and this is the result.
I'll also be doing a talk on the photography of that period on Thursday the 8th February.
Details are on the blog (http://davidsutton.co.nz/blog) on my website.

Can't get to New Zealand then, tho it is tempting, so is there a link to your images or your talk? Looks wonderful.

Me too. My bicycle won't take me that far, but I'd love to see them.

You've just no stamina, Eric.

Sometimes my bicycle barely makes it to the front gate, though I think that is probably the rider and not the machine....
The images are up in the portfolio on my website (http://davidsutton.co.nz). I always get a bit twitchy about seeing my photos on the web, as I lose that tactile experience of holding the paper in my hand and seeing the way the light is moved and modified, but it will give you an idea.

David,
That is a stunning portfolio on your website. I wish I could trade the bicycle in for a Learjet or something so I could see the actual prints.
Good luck with the exhibit. I hope you sell them all!
Cheers,
Eric M.

Thank you Eric. We have so many fine photographers on this site, including yourself, that I don't have to go far for inspiration.
LuLa has been what I needed to push me along.
