Title: Baltimore's Inner Harbor
Post by: slothead on January 27, 2013, 06:29:22 am
For those of you in the Baltimore, MD area, you are probably well aware of the perspective of Baltimore's Inner Harbor from atop Federal Hill.  There is lots of close parking although it is a slight hike up the hill, but it is a very safe location (particularly being a city park) and access to the area is easy from outside of town.  Eateries are very close-by and with great variety if spending any length of time at the site.

These two shots were taken from about the same spot on the hill, one last summer at Baltimore's "Sailabration" celebrating the War of 1812 and the hold-out of nearby Ft McHenry.  The other night time shot was taken in January (just a couple weeks ago and I had been chomping at the bit to get back in to the location to take the night time panorama).

Both are multi-image panorama taken with a D800.  The daylight shots employed a Nikkor 24-120, and the night time shots employed a Nikkor 28-300.
