Title: Plustek 120 shipping
Post by: cjogo on January 22, 2013, 06:36:06 pm
Waiting for "independent" reviews >>  from this much anticipated 120 scanner.  Going to be hard to beat the Minolta Pro with its glass carrier ...

Stay tuned.

I suspect you are not writing from North America, because AFAIK (from the B&H website for example), it is not available for retail sale on this continent yet.

Just got off the phone with  PLUSTEK --says they are fulfilling orders at B&H /AMAZON & ADORAMA this week. BUT sure they are in short supply ... will have to wait our time on the West coast.

That is truly "breaking news". Thanks for taking the trouble to probe this. It was not the case as recently as several days ago.

Yeah -- but that might be only 12 units per store :'( -- I think they are going to manufacture them , by hand ,  in Germany at first

This scanner is manufactured at our plant in Taiwan. It is closer to our development and product management team so they can see first hand what is happening on the assembly line. They can also react faster to questions and issues.

It will come with SilverFast software - that is from Germany; not the scanner.
