So, in my collection of books there are plenty of technical books, but only a handful of books with photographic collections. I'm calling it that, as I am not sure the proper name.
Anyways, I need to start adding a few, such as Gursky: 80-08. So, recommendations?

Well, your mentioning of Gursky indicates "artsy" landscape orientation. If you are, however, interested in "traditional" landscape photography, a good starting point would be:
The World's Top Photographers: Landscape (http://www.amazon.com/WORLDS-TOP-PHOTOGRAPHERS-LANDSCAPE-Photographers/dp/2940361010)

I enjoy the landscapes of Shinzo Maeda. Have three books which I often view to gather inspiration. About 20 years ago I was fortunate to visit an exhibition of his photographs - very impressive.

The World's Top Photographers
and the stories behind their greatest images
Landcape
Yep, that's all one title.

My copy is very well printed.
