I think this is one which would have worked superbly had the waves been captured at a much higher shutter speed. The softness of the water competes too greatly with the soft light of the sky and mountains.

Nah, that's not soft water, that's *moving* water. I like it here.
The colours in the water are especially attractive.

I like it too. The very colorful sky and waters produce a splendid image. Most of the Elgol photos that I've seen were made with a heavy and gray sky, the golden look is a good variation of this popular place.

The golden light makes this photo special. I especially like the golden reflections on the dark rocks.

Great shot...love the sky particularly, poss a little too blue/green tint to the water?

I'm with Chris here.  Either a longer exposure or a shorter one, but for me the wave action here just doesn't seem right.  YMMV!
