Title: Black and White
Post by: kenben on January 12, 2013, 09:51:34 am
I am using Optical One by Breathing Color.
I would like to know what I should set for black and white.
Which should I use Premium Glossy Photo Paper (Photo Black ink)
or UltraSmooth Fine Art Paper (Matte Black ink),
Which gives the best result.
I am using the Epson R1900

Thanks Ken

"Best" is completely subjective, the only one who can answer that is you. Try them both and see which one you like better.

Ken,

please ignore that idiotic response. I didn't bother to read carefully enough to understand the question.

You can get profiles of Optica One to use either Pk or Mk, but you'll get better or deeper blacks when printing using matte black on this type of media.  And, not surprisingly as Optica One is a smooth matte fine art paper.
