I'm not one to tell people what to do with their images, but...the only thing of interest to me in this image are those spectacular reflections. I'd crop the top half and let those reflections stand boldly on their own.

I'd go along with that, cropping off just above the whiter highlight on the trunk, more or less where the bluer bit begins. That done, I'd try to warm it up a bit; I find cold colours make me feel cold, too.

Yes, I think so; maybe just a fraction more trunk up top, but pretty much what I'd thought. I do prefer it warm.

But more importantly, what does it do for you, changing it?

In some ways I like it more, but Bald Cypresses tend toward the cool side and going this warm was a bit mind challenging...I tried cropping a little higher but it didn't add anything to the mix, so decided on a lower cut. It's one of those shots common to this area and on any other day the light would give it a totally different look..for now, I think I will continue to like it.
