Hey guys wanna see if you all would have any ideas why the same image would print totally different within a couple days time frame.  Only thing I could remember when I originally printed it was that my RGB workspace in Adobe Photoshop was set to the monitor profile that my Colormunki Photo made.  Once I read that was wrong, I switched it back to AdobePro I believe.  The picture on the right is the reprint.  The one on the left is the original print already coated.  One thing.  When I reprinted, my printer was pretty much out of yellow ink.  I swapped it right after this print.  Would that make the colors look so different?  Does my hardware have to be recalibrated?  Also, I will be receiving new canvas paper from another manufacturer tomorrow and I will be making the paper profile with the Colormunki.  When it prints the test sheets, how long should I wait for the canvas to dry before measuring the color with the device?  If I already have the test sheets for that paper that I did a couple weeks ago, can I use the same test sheets?  Or do I have to print new ones everytime I re-profile?

IF you tagged the image with the display profile (which you now know is wrong), then fixed it, it is possible the color appearance would look different and perhaps you edited it?

The other possibility is a nozzle was (or is) clogged.

Let the Canvas dry down a good 24 hours before first measurement.

Digital, how do I check for a clogged nozzle? Will status monitor tell me?

I may have made an incorrect assumption you're using some kind of ink jet printer. There should be some utility that will print a test that shows if a nozzle is clogged.

Switching ink cartidges should not affect the color of your prints. I think it's more likely you had a setting wrong in the photoshop print dialog in one of the printts. It's quite easy to do if you're not careful. Perhaps you applied the wrong profile in one and not the other.

This may sound a little out there, but are you using a Mac by any chance and have you recently done any minor upgrades on OSX?  I just had week long hair pulling session trying to figure out what happened to all my custom profiles and somehow things went wonky.

Sorry for the slow responses. For some reason unknown this problem has just stopped.  Re-calibrated and did my profiles again (due to PC upgrade) and everything is working good.  I use a PC with Adobe PS6, OnOne Perfect Resize Pro, and a Canon ipf8300.  I use a ColorMunki photo for profiles.
