Hey All! Need some help here.
My Epson 9890 has started doing something strange.
I am loading 44" canvas roll. Never been a problem in the past.
Now after I load the canvas, the printer does it's normal thing... Canvas dances back and for, head dances back and forth (like always), but then after it's done, I get a "Paper Out - Load Paper" error on the panel.
I tried a 24" roll of single weight matte, and it didn't error out.
Suggestions?
Thanks!

Are you sure you have it on roll and not sheet?

Absolutely.
Strange thing is I can also load 44" gloss paper, and it behaves correctly.
I checked the leading edge of the canvas - which I've printed to in the very recent past - and it looks fine.

Here's a strange one...
Just out of pure frustration, I rolled out the canvas and manually cut the leading edge off. Hand sighted with a razor using the bottom edge of the printer as a guide.
Hit the platen button, printer does it's dance, and load the paper correctly - despite the wavy leading edge. !?!?!
I hit the scissors next the cut a clean edge. Unload the canvas, then reload it just fine.
I'm boggled.
