Title: Export images form Ipad on to USB HD with iUSBport?
Post by: henk on January 02, 2013, 05:05:45 pm
Hi,
So far I have taken a MacBook with me on trips abroad to make backups on portable HD’s. My older MacBook , still very good for creating backups, is quite heavy.  About 3 Kg!
So I would like to take my iPad 64Gb and use that for reviewing shoots, selecting some for sending in the cloud and then export them on to a USB HD. Till now this is impossible by the protecting strategy of Apple!
In searching the net I came across a nifty small peace of hardware: iUSBport. Former called CloudFTP made by  HyperShop. http://www.hypershop.com/iUSBport-by-HyperDrive-formerly-CloudFTP-s/218.htm
If this really works then you don’t need a laptop if there is no need for LR or PS.
It looks to good to be through.
Any body, experiences?
