Ran across this one from three years ago as I was rearranging my web sites. And it's time for some street.

And no 800 in sight!

Nice. There's a lot to see in there, and a lot of questions raised. Even the background material (the white stripe on the road, a stop line maybe? and the car exiting the frame) play well geometrically. I wouldn't say they're necessary, but they do support the important material in the frame.

Very enjoyable "street" IMHO. Wihout the mysterious framed picture (backside), or without the sleeping guy, it would be nothing. Together they provide a delightful ambiguity, inviting all sorts of interpretations. Even the diasappearing car and the white line on the street add to it.
Fine seeing, Russ.

Russ you are the master of street work. Lovely image.

Excellent, Russ.

Thanks all. Still waiting for things to warm up down here so I can get over to St. Augustine for a few days and get back on the street.

Come up here and visit me in Panama City and you'll get some real cold drilled through your bones...crap, it's cold (40's), windy and raining...bleah!
-
Actually my exterior thermometer tells me it's 62 degrees and overcast outside, Chris, so it's not cold here. Got up into the seventies today. But I want at least three days in the seventies in St. Aug. That brings out the tourists, and I want mucho tourists when I'm there.
I know about Panama City. In 1954 I spent a couple months at Tyndall AFB going through intercept controller's school. My wife and I and toddler son lived out in Mexico Beach, which, in those days was heavily populated with Air Force folks. One night a guy who lived near us was flying around getting some night time in a T-33 when something went wrong. He set the airplane down in the water just off Mexico Beach, got out, and walked home, dazed but unhurt.

My uncle was flying out of there right about that time. He'd just finished his basic training in Texas. He was in and out of Tyndall for much of his career. I am pretty sure he was training in T-33's as well and though he did get busted for doing barrel rolls down PC beach, I'm pretty sure he never put one in the water - except in Viet Nam much later on - and that one he punched out of. F4's don't float well; they glide even less.
