Title: Flotsam
Post by: OldRoy on December 29, 2012, 12:08:56 pm
This is a recent shot from a series of a few hundred that I've been accumulating for the last year or so. It's not the best, technically, but having shot it in miserable weather a few days ago I was pleased to come home with anything respectable (?).
OMD, 100-300 Panasonic, ISO 2500 136mm @ F4.4, 1/320 and processed in LR4. I'm getting very lazy about carrying a D700 these days and a bit of noise doesn't really bother me so much.
Now I have the problem of an excess of material and great difficulty in choosing a dozen or so as a set worth - maybe - printing. I'll put up a few more as hostages to fortune if anyone thinks the subject matter looks promising.

As a photographer of pavement cracks, tar drips, and rusty patterns on old railroad cars myself, I find this kind of weirdness appealing.
This one has a certain charm. I look forward to more examples.
