Going to be going to Europe as per my holiday time norm, and I am thinking about bringing a tripod along with my cameras, I am looking for something very light (for me to carry) and small, and this would seem to fit the bill....I would put a gitzo head on it though...

Thoughts on it? Does anyone know of a comparable Gitzo? size and weight wise...not really concerned about price...

So I should try that one?

I looked at that same Siriu tripod on Amazon (not in person.) Tempting, but the center column is always fully extended. So not only is there the potential instability, it's not possible to get very low to the ground.
But a <12 inch folded length is pretty small.

@K bennett, you think it would do though for a Leica M?

See my comments regarding that tripod: http://www.luminous-landscape.com/forum/index.php?topic=72069.0
