Hi,
When I am in Library or Develop and I assign a rating to a selected image sometimes the selection advances automatically to the next image(which is a nuisance if i also want to assign a flag to the same image) and sometimes it does not.
How do I control whether the selection advances or not.
Believe me I have RTFM.
Thanks
Robert

Not so stupid, but there is an option, Photo pull-down, Auto Advance.

Go to Photo, deselect Auto advance ;D

ahhh...found it
Thanks

Auto-advance will also happen if the shift key is pressed. Or caps lock.

Tom beat me to it. The Caps Lock button engages Auto Advance. Very handy for sorting through imported images. Turn Caps Lock on, select the first image, press E for single image view, then press P for pick or U for unpick. It automatically goes to the next image. When you're done use the 'Refine Photos' command to set Picks to unpicked and Unpicked to rejects. Standard part of my workflow.
Mike.
P.S. The only stupid question is the unasked one.

The CAPS lock button ! That was the other...umm not so stupid question that I did not dare to ask. I couldn't figure out what was changing the automatic advance given that I didn't know about the option in the Photo pull down.
Thanks
