I was talking with someone yesterday who said that the HP 73 series ink cartridge twin packs were discontinued or soon to be discontinued. Can anyone verify this?
TIA
-
Yeah they are. I tried to order a batch yesterday and was told they were discontinued. Effectively my ink costs just went up 30%.
Edit: 73 is chromatic red right? It's not just that color it's all 70 (z-series) twin packs.

^I dunno. My understanding is that the Z3200 uses the 73 series where the z3100 uses the 70 series. But I don’t own a Z3200. I’m am considering it but news such as this this makes me hesitant.
Can anyone clarify the ink cartridges used by the z3200?

As an owner of a z3100 and a z3200 I can verify that the two printers use the exact same ink carts with the exception of red: HP70 (HP73 for the chromatic red on a z3200).

HP z3200 ink price per mL: $.50 (used to be $.38 when twin packs were available)
Canon 8400 price per mL (700 ml size): $.42

That would suck for me. But I show them in stock lots of places as of now, so who knows. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/757924-REG/HP_Hewlett_Packard_CD952A_73_2_pack_130_ml_Chromatic.html
