This guy was very high on my wish list for Bolivia. A near endemic and an absolutely stunning species of the cloud forests. I got lucky one morning and had a pair feeding along side the "caraterra de la muerte" (road of death). Nobody really drives on that road anymore (except for crazy Canadian birdwatchers) so it is amazing for birding. I spent a solid 3 days searching the area for all kinds of goodies. But this guy was the highlight. What a beauty! :D

All of your images are worthy of a book. As a matter of fact, some of these bird images are so perfectly drawn, while at the same time including elements to judge size and context, I can imagine there would be a lot of interest from the scientific ornithologist's world.
