Title: Importing DNG and not JPG
Post by: JeanMichel on November 25, 2012, 05:09:07 pm
Hi,
In order to see the images from my M9 on an Epson P-700 backup device I must set the file capture to DNG-jpg. The device will copy the DNG's but does not display them, it will display the jpg. When returning from a trip I would like to import the DNG's but not the jpg's. I know that I could select the jpg's in LR and delete them but it is a step that I would prefer not to have to bother with. I looked but cannot see any settings for selecting images by file type to import.
Thanks
Jean-Michel

In the Lightroom import window, at the bottom click on 'Unselect All', then sort by File Type. .DNG files will be listed before .JPG files.  Click the first DNG, then Shift-click on the last one.  Import.

Thank you Mike. I was trying to do this without first unchecking all. Thanks again.
