Title: Oregon waterfall advice wanted

Yea, this could be a really broad topic.

I've (happily) done some of the usual suspects in the gorge, and I think I might have caught the waterfall bug, so I'll narrow this question down to this:

In the very general Eugene, OR area, besides Proxy Falls (which I want to try), what else is worth a serious look if I've got a day and a half in the area?

As a general note, I don't want to be hiking more than a few miles round trip as I carry moderately heavy gear, and I don't do well with tricky trails (or roads) with exposed edges as I don't do particularly well with heights.

Any thoughts or tips out there? I'll be doing this next summer as a break on the way down to Bandon for some coastal shooting...

My first two thoughts are: 1) Silver Falls State Park which is east of I-5 and a bit north of Salem.  2) If you take 126 west toward Florence, there's a tiny town called Mapleton.  Near there is Sweet Creek, which is pretty sweet.  PM me if you want more specifics.  I know many locals that know many waterfalls.

From Eugene head east about 30-45 minutes for the Three Sisters National Park area.  Lots of nice falls and other scenic's to see.

Or, head south about 150 miles to Mills Falls recreational area and take some of the fun hiking trails.  Some large falls are easily photographed there.  I'll attach a few.   Try to keep in mind that Oregon probably had more waterfalls than anywhere else.. so you'll find them everywhere.  Mills Falls is special though.

The Eugene area has many waterfalls within an hour and a half.  On the Mckenzie River east of town, Sahalie falls and Koosah falls right on HWY 126 are worth viewing and not too far from Proxie falls.  Over toward the coast from Eugene, Sweet Creek Falls is a gem near the town of Mapleton.  Down Highway 58 Salt Creek Falls and Fall Creek falls are worth a look. If you can make it over to the coast near Coos Bay, you will find Golden and Silver falls.  There is an excellent double falls deep in the coast range of Douglas County as well in the mountains above Reedsport. And the North Umpqua River has a number of beautiful waterfalls and cascades.  I could go on and on.

Long story short, you won't be disappointed.
