I have fixed up a Polariod MP4 copy stand and am considering various lighting options.
Has anyone used LED lighting on a copy stand and if so how did that work for you?
I will be copying both color and B&W. Thanks

Be sure you take a two color Led Lighting (white - yellowish) as the pure whites doe have a lack of yellow green spectra.
Still the LED has a lesser output in that range and may need a special ICC for correction.

Not a vendor but had the opportunity to try out "Dedolight" system at this year's Photokina and found it sufficient spectrally and power wise to do repro type archival tests. The results were excellent.

There's a pretty large range of "copy stand" like use-cases. Depending on the volume of work you are doing strobes can be uncomfortable for the operator (photographer).
On our RG3040 Copy Stand (http://www.dtdch.com/page/rg3040-reprographic-system) we generally use strobes. On our BC 100 Book Capture System (http://www.dtdch.com/page/bc100-book-capture-system) we use continuous lights. The main reason being that the 3040 Copy Stand is used to capture many items per hour whereas the Book Capture System is used to capture many items per minute (turn page, take picture, turn page, take picture). In the later case the operator ergonomics are not pleasant with strobe (having two banks of strobes a few feet from your eyes firing 5-10 thousand times in a day).
When ergonomics are not an issue we select strobe every time.

I'd say try some of the cheap LED panels with rheostat that you find on Amazon that go for about $30. Though the single-color sources of these cheap lights are on the green size, a 1/8 to 1/4 -Green gel should take care of the color and if you need a lower Kelvin, simply get a sheet of CTO and filter the lights.
These panels are making it faster and easier for me to copy art and small products, much more than setting up the electronic flash and getting things dialed in.

Look for the warmer ones as they will have less issues with metamerism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metamerism_(color))
Google for "Felloni LED panel" they come in several "flavours" and seem to be quite popular these days
